A fantastic way to unwind & relax is to spend a quiet weekend in Tauranga. Motels are plentiful with most being in close proximity to Tauranga city or within close walking distance to one of the many beautiful white sandy beaches. Tauranga has a slightly warmer climate where it is often 2 degrees warmer than surrounding areas, this is due in part to the Kaimai Ranges where much of the rain falls, much of it before it get's to Tauranga.
